  1. What I do now is have 3 levels of service, s,m,l. With each one the price goes up. I find that most people are lading in the middle because nobody wants to pay for the small package. They also don’t want to pay for the large package & get suckered. So the medium package becomes the standard.

    Like Jim says though, there are those few who want to pay a premium price for premium service & they are the easiest customers to deal with.

    Nice strategy Jim.. Time is the thing that matters people the most nowadays and people r willing to pay more for quick service…This is the perfect way to increase revenues!!.

    I have been running a private courier service and its a business that runs on quick delivery.. We do offer the premium packages that u mentioned for express deliveries and the surprising thing is that customers are willing to pay for such packages as well and that’s what delights me!!:-)

    Actually it has never dawned on me to offer a higher end version of my service for a higher price.
